Home Office Announces Name Of New Detention Centre

The Home Office announced today (July 24th) that the new Detention Centre at Gatwick Airport will be called "Brook House".

"The new facilities, which will open in 2008 under the name Brook House, will be Britain's biggest deportation centre, with 426 male and female bed spaces. It increases the current capacity of centres for failed asylum seekers to nearly 3,000 places."
