(Workshop) Moving gender An open discussion on the relationship between national borders, gender and sexuality. Or, how any challenge to one requires a challenge to the other. Everyday of our lives we are confronted with rigid ideas of gender and sexuality and thus our 'appropriate' roles in society. Anyone who does not conform is seen as 'other' or 'strange' or even 'dangerous'. In a society that always attempts to mark someone as 'other' (by race/sexuality/gender or any other means) we refuse to accept this present condition of nations and borders, the containment of people behind false divides that serves only to profit those in power. DetailedDescription
(Workshop)Our Borders
How we recognise / challenge our own borders/ barriers towards others.
-Groups. Communication. Inclusion / exclusion.
-Race and ethnicity, class, creed/ ideology, gender/ sexuality, and other
elemsnts that define our identity can also become barriers towards others and
obstacles to mutual understanding.
(Workshop)Activist trauma support
Politically active people sometimes experience violent situations that can lead to a psychological trauma. This shouldn’t be the private problem of an individual, but it is a method of governmental repression that we have to fight. To be able to recognize a trauma is the first step to do something against it. So in this workshop we will talk about the questions, what is a trauma, what are its symptoms and what are possibilities to deal with it. [Out Of Action]
